Well lets just start off with the answer CIRRUS, but now the problem. If you have $550,000ish, and by the way how much is ish?, what the heck are you doing on a forum called YAHOO asking what kind of plane to buy. Why don't you try WOOPEE or O'MY GOSH, maybe WHAT THE HECK, or YIPPEE would be better websites to ask this kind of important question. Of course if I had $550,000ish to spend I certainly would be asking a complete stranger their opinion and then take it to heart. If you go to your local airplane broker and he makes a suggestion disregard it unless he got it from YAHOO answers, what can he know. Of course if I tell you I have over 23,000ish hours of flying and I am multi engine rated you would believe me because I am on YAHYOO answers. I just looked it up and found the quote. And once again, it looks like the right has distorted the truth in an attempt to get political advantage. These people are so ugly! Here's what he actually said, referring to Brown v. Board of Education, the famous case in which the Supreme Court ruled that black kids could attend the same schools as white kids:
';I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”
He is pointing out that the racial doctrines of the Nazis we were fighting looked too much like the racist doctrines that barred black American children down south from attending all white schools. Which is of course what happened. It's a perfectly accurate assessment, and the Republicans are twisting it as they always do.
He could use it as an example of what we don't ever want to be. If Obama said that the US is nothing like the Nazi's and gave reasons why they are different then technically he is still comparing the two.

I can understand why your friend may think that as white people's hair generally is thinner and more manageable when curly so it is easier to straighten when compared to curly hair of a black person so you do tend to see more black people with curly hair.
However there is no truth in that fact, i'm white and have curly hair and in ireland it is very common, if not more usual to have curly hair than not.

A true question about Special Education.....What should I do?
I am a Learning Disabilities teacher...elementary level. I have ten students.. the district I work for just pulled my aide due to budget issues. The problem is this: I now have to figure out how to schedule students into one persons schedule and they don't fit. Program support came out and she couldnt make it work either. I have three studets that I couldnt even get placed on my schedule. I have no prep time and the last email I received from The sped boss was....I lnow you can figure it out. Be a leader and make it work? I wont cut student time, as what is on their IEP's is what they need. I have done some creative grouping..what next? Any suggestions?A true question about Special Education.....What should I do?
Sounds like you know the law and your students needs well and you are not getting support from you boss except the challenge to ';figure it out';.
My ';figure it out'; would be to go over and around your boss' head!
It will take effort -- but you are your students best advocate! Enlist the help of others and deligate authority to parents. You may be able to get a parent or two to volunteer a bit in the interim.
1. Talk to parents in very calm objective terms - let them get angry and take action talking to ';boss';, school board, etc. Some parents may be already overwhealmed with daily life, but others may be ready and willing to advocate.
2. Talk to any members of the school board you can in very calm objective terms about how you would like to be able to do your job well and are concerned about parent suing the district for not providing for their kids.
3. Contact the local ';intermediate unit'; or county level educational resource office - explain the situation in a professions manner and humbly ask their advice on how you could meet the needs without an aide - they may have some resources to hire an aide which the ';boss'; has not taken time to look into. They could even meet with you and the special ed coordinator to work out a specific plan -- they may be able to demand that the school board meet and make $$ available.
4. Local lawmakers in your state - find one that might champion the cause of special needs kids - do any of them have a child w/special needs? Invite the parents to write letters to school board, count, %26amp; state send them in a packet to officials along with copies of drawings or photos of projects the class has made - (if you include a class photo be sure to get parental consent)

I think the law requires a certian student to teacher ratio. I think it might be 5 to 1. Check into the law and see if that would give you back your aide.

The first thing I would do is review every IEP and send a letter to the district pointing out how the loss of your aide has led to these violations. Be clear, use direct quotes from the IEPs. Be sure to send copies to the admin in your own school. I would also send a copy to the special education compliance office for your district as well as one directly to the superintendent of schools and each member of the school board. Include copies of the schedule you could maintain with the aide as well as the various schedules you have tried to implement, but found ineffective and unsuable. Include any documentation from the Program Support officer and, if there is none, ask for a written letter explaining their decsions and feelings on the situation. Keep copies of everything. If the system still refuses to do anything, it may be time to talk with the parents of the students. You will need to do this ';unofficially';...calling them on the weekend or arranging to meet with them off school property, However, my bet is you won't need to contact them. Once they realize that the class has lost the aide and that services are being affected, my bet is they will start asking questions. Answer them simply and honestly and have ready all the contact names and numbers they will need to file formal complaints!
As for creative groupings...only you will know what may or may not work, Anything you try, document the results so you may submit those as proof supporting the return to the origianl structure of the class. The only other idea I can offer is to see if you can possibly have volunteers come in to assist you. Contact the PTA, local colleges that have special education degree programs, etc. And finally, insist that your boss come in and spend at least half a day in the class. Ask him to sit with you and find a plan to accomodate his demands, while maintaining the IEP required levels.
It truely angers and saddens me that our teachers are now being forced to ignore IEP's and the school expects them to just go with it. Many teachers are worried they will negatively impace thier careers if they openly fight the school system. No one wants to see that. If you truely feel there is a risk of negative reprecussions, contact your local union rep. Explain the situation, out line what you have done to try and resolve it and ask what they can do to help. My bet is that is this not only a violation of the kid's IEP's, it is violating your contract as well.

Legally you have to have an aide in your room. You can't have One teacher with 10 students. The district can not legally take away your aide. Let them know that they are breaking the law. If Children and family services knew this the school would be in trouble. The ratio here is 5:1.
You may have been instructed (or encouraged) not to, but I would let the parents know what is going on. If the students' IEPs state the class ratio or an amount of 1:1 time, the school is legally obligated to provide it. Budget cuts or not.
I think that the parents have most of the power in this situation. If they can somehow get together and demand an aide be placed back in your classroom, it will probably happen pretty quickly.

Serious question for true car experts?
So i just bought a service manual and body diagnostics procedures book for my jeep, in all seriousnous, I don't even know what the heck they are? The body diagnostics procedures book serves what purpose? How do I use it? The service manual shows how to fix the specific car right? Because it doesn't do it well if its supposed to, bad and nondescript diagrams, whole bunch of words without getting to the point and lot of munbo jumbo. Is a service manual supposed to essentially tell me how to fix anything?Serious question for true car experts?

A service manual (like Chilton's) does show you how to make repairs. Every one I've seen has been written in a pretty straight-forward manner. Sounds to me like you're just not too mechanically inclined.

Lafayette goes missing, and Tara gets drunk and crashes her car. Some weird lady with dark hair bails her out of jail and takes her home with her saying that she ';likes to help people'; and she ';does this all the time.'; Well in the next episode or something Tara introduces her to Sam and he's like ';what are you doing here?'; to which she replies, ';did you think i couldn't find you? silly dog.';
Lafayette is still missing, and I believe that the final episode ends with Tara and Sookie walking Detective Bellfleur back to his car because he's drunk, and it shows the foot and part of the leg of a dead body in the back seat. Then it ends.

Bill almost died trying to save Sookie - Rene attacked her and Bill tried to come to the rescue but it was daylight.
Jason decided to join the Fellowship of the Sun church.
Something wierd is going on with Tara and that Maryann lady.
Eric returned that chick that Bill turned because she got on his nerves.
Lafayette went to see the Senator and gave him a veiled threat. At the end of the season finale, it looks like Layafette has been killed.
I think those are the highlights. :-)
Rene was the killer... you really should read the series of books (The Southern Vampire Series) that the tv show was based off of. There is enough in the books that you will enjoy yourself even if you watched the show... And the first book is the only one that has been brought to the TV screen anyway =)

If an untrained dog is presented with an attitude of agressiveness on the part of a human rather than fear, the dog will turn tail, but if the human exhibits fear in the face of the dog, an attack can easily result.
This same attitude is undoubtedly true where the insect kingdom is concerned. I remember as a small child disturbing a nest of bumblebees in a pile of old inner tubes that my grandfather had piled up. Because I was fearful of the possibility of being stung, I was chased completely around the house by the bees, and stung several times.
My grandfather, not fearing them, waited til dark, when they had reentered their hives, (in order to destroy them completely) removed the tubes, and proceeded to burn them, after dumping gasoline on the hive. Of course, they were completely destroyed and no longer a threat to anyone.

It's probably just dead skin flaking off, especially since it's wintertime. After she showers and shaves, she should use lotion and make sure the area is moisturized. Tea tree oil works well to keep the area smooth, hydrated and bump-free ... after shaving, put a drop or two on a cotton ball and gently and lightly dab the area.
If it's NOT just a matter of dead skin, and there are any weird smells or feelings of discomfort, she needs to put her modesty aside and see a doctor. It's probably just dead skin flaking off, especially since it's wintertime. After she showers and shaves, she should use lotion and make sure the area is moisturized. Tea tree oil works well to keep the area smooth, hydrated and bump-free ... after shaving, put a drop or two on a cotton ball and gently and lightly dab the area.

I want to live for God and not live for this world anymore. But how do I go about it with out it being an extreme to the point of becoming antisocial or isolated? I don't plan on joining a cult, just a simple church, but do i have to stop watching tv and listening to music.

Get to know people at the church and volunteer -- usher/greeter, singing, child care, etc. Doing work for God may or may not pay but if you keep praying for God's will in your life, He will take care of you and guide you. I quit watching TV several years ago and listen to the Bible on audio tape during breakfast. This is a good early morning Bible study.

Of course we can watch movies and listen to radios but of you have to select something that wouldn't pollute your mind. actually if you have the Spirit of God, you will know it. what i recomment is just read your Bible and pray to the Lord Jesus Christ for knowledge and understanding and it will guide you how to live on this world blameless. All supposed churches of Christ's do not conform to the examples in the bible. Churches of Christ are independant assemblies. (Of course one should try to come together clean, wearing the best that one has as you are coming together to worship God.)The best that I may have may not be the best that someone else has. Ostentatious ornamental rings, ear pieces, lapel pins. etc. in worship services are Not evidence of sincere Christians. Talk to the preacher or one of the elders.
