A question for open hearts and true believers of Jesus Christ?

I want to live for God and not live for this world anymore. But how do I go about it with out it being an extreme to the point of becoming antisocial or isolated? I don't plan on joining a cult, just a simple church, but do i have to stop watching tv and listening to music.

Does Someone know the true way of not living for this world?A question for open hearts and true believers of Jesus Christ?
THE FIRST THING YOU HAVE TO DO IS ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR AND THEN LET THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE YOUA question for open hearts and true believers of Jesus Christ?
Being loved by God launches us into service and proclamation and generosity. I don't want to unnecessarily offend anyone, but I find it difficult to believe that a person who has been touched by the love of God could ever become a monk. Withdrawal, silence and solitude are not in the vocabulary of the person who has felt the grasp of God's love.

God's love takes us inside ourselves only long enough for us to marvel that souls so sick with sin could be its recipients. It then drives us outward to those who know nothing of its dynamic qualities.

God's love is a compelling force that thrusts us beyond ourselves and into the lives of others. It was never intended to be a secret, closely guarded by some religious elite.

The truth of God's love is not like the cryptic mysteries of a lodge or fraternity. Quite to the contrary, ';Christ's love compels us'; to proclaim its message to a lost and unlovely world (2 Cor. 5:14, NIV). It breaks the silence caused by fear and shatters the shell of passivity.
No. be careful what you watch on television and the lyrics of the music you listen to. for instance do you think God wants you to listen to music full of cursing or lyrics talking about having sex or being a pimp? of course not!. Do you think God wants you watching something full of blood and guts, cursing or sex on television? of course not!

I'm a Christian and I live a great life. I play videogames , watch television, help out with my church, everything. when you want to watch something, just think about the content, bad television is easy to distinguish, same goes for music.
There are many ways to save your soul, and not all of them are appropriate to everyone.

Monks and Nuns - renounce the world in the way that you are suggesting. Going into deserts, cloisters, monasteries or convents; praying, living celibate lives, reading spiritually edifying works, purifying themselves of their sinful passions (bad habits) through a lifetime of struggle.

Married people - live as Christians in the world. Trying to be examples to their children and those around in holiness and leading them to Christ. Being a light in the world.

BOTTOM LINE:

There is no one way to save your soul in the sense of what path you take - married life or celibate monasticsm. God honors both of these paths. The important thing to do is try to maintain your spiritual and physical purity.

My biased recommendation: Come to an Orthodox Church and see what was seen over a 1000 years ago, by the emissaries of the Kievan Prince Vladimir sent to all of the worlds religions to find God.

';We did not know whether we were in heaven or on earth, for assuredly such beauty cannot be found on earth anywhere else...Only one thing do we know: that God was living there with men, and that their form of worship is the best of all. We cannot forget this beauty';
God tells us as soon as we accept him

we are no longer part of this world.

We may live in this world, but you are not part of it.

He also says that we should examine everything but only retain that which is good. Another tip would be to read the Bible, there you will find the true answer.
I've been praying something similar for weeks if not months. I don't think there's a simple formula, I ask God to deprogram me from the world's mindset. You may not need to stop watching TV/listening to music, but you definitely want to be careful about what tv shows/music you're listening to. Tell God what's on your heart, I think he'll direct you. I'm believing he will direct me.
You could call a few Christian churches near you and see what they are doing. You could try the larger ones and see if they have any work you could do there while you learn more about God. Get to know people at the church and volunteer -- usher/greeter, singing, child care, etc. Doing work for God may or may not pay but if you keep praying for God's will in your life, He will take care of you and guide you. I quit watching TV several years ago and listen to the Bible on audio tape during breakfast. This is a good early morning Bible study.

Try Christian music/Christian radio.
since we're still on human flesh we have to live on this world but we are not of this world anymore. what i mean is to live for Christ is to live not sinning, follow God's words and commandment is already living with Him. Of course we can watch movies and listen to radios but of you have to select something that wouldn't pollute your mind. actually if you have the Spirit of God, you will know it. what i recomment is just read your Bible and pray to the Lord Jesus Christ for knowledge and understanding and it will guide you how to live on this world blameless. The bible has many examples.
Jesus Chist said He would build His church. The Greek word for church means an assembly. Greek is what the new testament was first written in. All supposed churches of Christ's do not conform to the examples in the bible. Churches of Christ are independant assemblies. A true Churches of Christ does NOT have musical bands. soloists, choirs, (All sing together) . Neither do they wear a special hat, robe, tie, or other special garment. (Of course one should try to come together clean, wearing the best that one has as you are coming together to worship God.)The best that I may have may not be the best that someone else has. Ostentatious ornamental rings, ear pieces, lapel pins. etc. in worship services are Not evidence of sincere Christians. Talk to the preacher or one of the elders. As for watching TV or listening to music ask yourself what God would want you to see or listen to. One must be selective. Study God's word. My source: The Bible.
Let God lead you through His word. You can actually find the answer to all questions you have in the Bible. It is our guide to living a Christian life. I would suggest the KVJ version. I watch tv some but I try to not watch things with bad language or scenes in it. There are still a few decent channels to watch, I listen to Christian radio stations. The thing is, if garbage goes in garbage will come out, so take stuff in that can be of use in your walk with the Lord. Live like Jesus is holding your hand and with you all the time, because He is!! Tell everyone you can about Jesus Christ and what He did for us!! God Bless!!!
Yes, you can develop a very deep and meaningful relationship with God AND not be labeled as a fanatic in any way.

A small church and the Bible will however not accomplish this for you. You have to go to the source for the answer.
You sound like you are tired of making your own decisions or working out your own problems. Everyone has troubles but you can't run away from the world. Play the hand you've been dealt.

.
Yep. Seek Him in prayer. I'm talking serious prayer daily. The rest will work itself out.
you can still watch tv and listen to music.

start attending church %26amp; praying, it will come about.
