Is the question true or false-The reciprocal of 8/2 is 4/1?

I say true. Am I right? If it is false please tell me why thanksIs the question true or false-The reciprocal of 8/2 is 4/1?
By definition, if ';x'; is the number, then its reciprocal is

1/x

and in this post, since x = 8/2, then its reciprocal is

1/(8/2) = 2/8 = 1/4.

Hope this helps. Is the question true or false-The reciprocal of 8/2 is 4/1?
False, a reciprocal of a number is the opposite number of a number. 8/2 and 4/1 are basically EQUAL. Because 4/1 multiplied by 2/2 is 8/2. And 4/1 and 8/2 both equal to 4. But the reciprocal of BOTH of those is .25
The reciprocal of 8/2 is 1/(8/2) = 2/8 =1/4

answer is false
8/2 can be simplified to 4/1. The reciprocal of that is 1/4. So it is False.
