X-men question: Is it true that some strong mutants can block Rouges powers? If so, then who?

I heard about it somewhere, but the source didn't mention any names and it would be interesting to know if, for example Magneto, could do it. At least in the movie version it would change a lot.X-men question: Is it true that some strong mutants can block Rouges powers? If so, then who?
Colossus cannot block rogues powers. Yes, his skin is metal, his power transforms his organic flesh into bio-metallic steel, but if Rogue touches him, she will still be touching his skin. Magneto can block Rogue's powers easily, in the Age of Apocalypse series, they actually had a child together. Magneto used his power to create a microscopic force-field between Rogue and himself while they were making love.


As for being able to block her powers? Xavier could do that by preventing her brain from accessing that particular power, but other than that, there aren't many that are resistant to her abilities. Some characters in Marvel can't have their powers removed or duplicated by rogue simply because they have TOO MUCH power and she gets overwhelmed by it. Colossus can Block Rouge's powers but not because he is strong, it is because is skin is Metal, I can easily see how some one would make that mistake. since Colossus is one of the strongest x-men.





other wise I have never heard of her powers being blocked its just if she absorbs powers from Phoenix or Apocalypse the power makes her mentally Insane, and the powers she absorbed are uncontrollable and unstable.
I believe that hero Iceman could touch Rouge without suffering. however I am not really too aware of the the X-Men situation in regard to the comics. I just googled :)
nope... there is only one who can do that and its Gambit..





read the Wikipedia article about rogue... it says gambit's kinetic power has an advantage to rogue's energy absorbing power.. thats why Gambit is the only guy who can kiss rogue without hurting himself...

The only people who can really block her powers are people who have the power to stop other people's powers, like Leech. But no one besides those people from what I know. (definitely not magneto unless he used some type of machine).
Just wanted to add for all the less seasoned X-men readers here....Uncanny X-men #231 will verify for you that Rogue's touch will still affect Colossus even when he is in his steel form

The only mutants that I know that can do that is Colossus because of his skin.
